Greetings from the Admissions & Development Office
Thank you for your interest in Nagoya International School (NIS) and welcome to our online application portal. Within this portal parents are able to make a request for an information packet, make a reservation for a school/campus tour, and apply for admissions in all divisions.
This portal is meant to help families learn more about NIS and to initiate the admissions process for those who feel ready to commit to joining our community. The application process at NIS can be done through this online portal or through submitting the traditional paper forms; either method is fine but the online method is preferred. Applying online requires creating a login-name and password, and will also require uploading student grades/reports, a recommendation form, a student photo and other documents. It can take as long as 30-60 minutes to complete. All applicants, irregardless of paper or online applications, must submit the required documents and either pay or make arrangements to pay the application fee.
Of course, we encourage parents to review our website to learn more about our school and our mission to ensure that NIS is the right fit for your family. Please feel free to contact the Admissions & Development Office directly with questions or concerns, and we always prefer to meet with parents face-to-face to talk about educational options for families in Nagoya. Since students enroll at all times throughout the school-year and availability is limited in some classes (and some classes are at capacity), we strongly suggest that families consider contacting us directly as soon as possible when considering options.
Once again, thank you for your interest in NIS and we look forward to working with you and your family.
Erik Olson-Kikuchi, Director of Admissions & Development
PLEASE NOTE: As of July, 2018, we anticipate opening in August near capacity in some grades for the 2018-2019 school year. In particular, interest is high in the ELC Preschool, Grade 3 and Grade 5. We continue to accept applications for students in those classes to be placed in a wait-pool of applicants. If you wish to inform us that you are interested in having your child be considered for wait-pool placement without filling out a complete application for admission, please use the "Registration of Interest" form to let us know, or, contact the Admissions & Development Office directly (email@example.com).
